We may be setting up a website soon, I am considering it as well. I don't want to do too much because I don't want to put too much strain on our internet connection.
Either I'm going to run it on a free service or on my server, depending on how much strain it will put on our connection.
The site will have galleries for our mods and a nice place for my webcomic to be set up.
If I do this, I may have to give up the IRC server idea, though, but that all depends on how much bandwidth is used.

Problem is that the free ones tend to be a little more irritating because you have to use their editors (which suck) and you have to put up with them advertising on your site.

Plus, if you use free services, you don't get as much of a custom URL.

Yeah, I can understand that. I'm going to be away for a moment, I'm trying to set up my server.

Actually, there are a few great ones such as ATSPACE that put no ads on your site. They also have unlimited bandwidth ^^. You still have to buy a domain name at godaddy or something >__>

I'm sure I could work around that part. My computer networking teacher does web hosting and I could get domain name hosting for, I think it was five dollars a year, but that's just the domain name. EDIT: Which brings up a point, what should the address of the site be. You can use www.register.com to find one that isn't taken. Post suggestions on this topic.

This sucks, the domain name I wanted was already taken by an advertising company, guess I'll stalk it and register it when it expires... MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Two years? NOOOOOO!!!!!

I had something similar in mind, but I'll keep all suggestions at hand and set them all in a poll later.

I will also attach a Blacknova Traders server on the side if I can figure out how to get the darned thing running on the Apache web server program.
Better go find someone else's server to try out the game.

Alright, the URL of the site will most likely be ardis.servegame.com or www.ersstudios.net depending on whether I can find free DNS hosting for ersstudios.net or not or find a way to do the DNS hosting myself. And I've managed to figure out how to set it up, so we WILL have Blacknova Traders or our website. NOTE: Neither link will go anywhere at this time.
